We are a 100% family owned and operated small business that supports local jobs. Our custom devices are made in our on-site fabrication lab and not outsourced to central-fabrication.
Hemet Prosthetic & Orthotic Group was founded in 1985 by Wayne A. Kaufman, CPO. Wayne is originally from Queens, NY and received Prosthetics training at New York University Post-Graduate Medical School, UCLA Prosthetics & Orthotics Program, and Cal State Dominguez Hills Prosthetics & Orthotics Program where he also taught Upper Extremity Prosthetics.
Shaun D. Kaufman, CPO is from Southern California where he studied at the University of Redlands, and received Prosthetics training from Cal State University Dominguez Hills Prosthetics & Orthotics Program at the Long Beach VA. Shaun is a Board Certified Prosthetist-Orthotist and specializes in lower extremity prosthetics
